MB&F: Pioneers of Innovation and Art

MB&F, Maximilian B ü sser&Friends, founded by Maximilian B ü sser in 2005. MB&F is not only a watchmaking brand, but also a creative laboratory that gathers the world’s top watchmaking experts. Since its establishment, MB&F has successfully launched numerous series of masterpieces such as Horological and Legacy Machines with its unique perspective and innovative ideas, combining traditional watchmaking techniques with modern art and creating one new field after another in clock design. Nowadays, MB&F has launched over 20 movements and won numerous awards, including the Aiguille d’Or Gold Finger Award at the Geneva Haute Horde (GPHG).

As the 20th anniversary of MB&F approaches in 2025, this brand is no longer just a watch manufacturer, but a symbol that combines art, design, and technology. At this special moment, MB&F’s decision to join hands with Chanel, a partner with rich experience in luxury goods and high-end watch operations, is undoubtedly a highly forward-looking initiative.

MB&F headquarters MAD House is a century old mansion located in the town of Carouge on the southern border of Geneva.

Chanel acquires 25% of MB&F’s shares, while founder Maximilian B ü sser continues to retain the majority of MB&F’s 60% stake. His partner Serge Kriknoff (head of research and production) in the company owns 15% of the shares. Max and Serge will jointly lead MB&F with Charris Yadigaroglou (Head of Marketing Communications) and Thibault Verdonckt (Head of Sales). Chanel’s minority shareholder status ensures the stability and resilience of MB&F, and has a strong strategic shareholder who shares the same values, ensuring the continuity of MB&F’s long-term strategy.
