Louis Vuitton 2024 Autumn/Winter Men’s Collection

Louis Vuitton presents a special edition of its men’s collection for autumn/winter 2024, showcasing the Western creativity of its men’s fashion creative director Pharrell Williams. Louis Vuitton’s 2024 Autumn/Winter Men’s Collection interprets the origin of the American Western wardrobe. Travel, as a manifestation of Louis Vuitton’s core brand spirit and ideas, plays an important role in exploring the origin of workwear through exquisite craftsmanship. This series of works adopts exquisite techniques such as gemstone inlay, hand painting, and precision embroidery, vividly reproducing the classic elements of Western American fashion.

The workwear in the Western wardrobe of the United States showcases exquisite craftsmanship. The surface of Danning cloth is covered with pearl embellishments, sequins, and flower embroidery, presenting a washed bronze color. It is decorated with patterns of sunlight beams and raindrops, or printed with western floral patterns. Jeans are made of denim fabric or fringed leather with Monogram and floral patterns embedded or embroidered, while leather jackets and pants reproduce saddle prints. The transformed Damier checkerboard pattern incorporates water buffalo patterns, appearing on flannel, tweed, sequins, and wool appliques on jackets, jackets, and shirts. The wrap around coat and vest are printed with denim Monogram patterns, the pajamas are made of denim lace, and the tweed jacket is interpreted with denim style “Thousand Bird Grid” patterns. Original denim painting transformed into jacquard pattern, used for decorating raincoats; Dry canvas is used to embellish jackets with rope embroidery patterns, or to transform into printed patterns on ready to wear clothing, presenting an effect as if eroded by the scorching sun of the grassland.

Louis Vuitton gentlemen’s clothing evolved from traditional Western attire in the United States. Following rural aesthetics, chain stitch Western elements such as cacti, cow horns, and polo ties onto suit jackets and shirts. The workwear silhouette is transformed into a finely cut denim jacket adorned with hand embroidered metallic antique bronze flowers, a workwear jacket adorned with colorful sunlight beam beads, and a suit jacket with fine stripes or Damier checkerboard patterns made of metal studs or turquoise decorations. As a model of workwear, workwear pants are made of high-end precision cut fabrics. Western shirts amplify the inherent elements of Western style – shoulder panel design, rivets, and floral embroidery, while other shirts feature denim Monogram jacquard, denim lace, Western style prints, or embellished with ribbon embroidery on plain youth fabric.
