Since 2018, the classic French luxury brand Chanel has been playing the role of the exclusive private sponsor of the Grand Palais in Paris. Now, this long-term partnership has been extended for another five years: Chanel has once again pledged a sponsorship of 30 million euros for the Grand Palace’s art and cultural projects from 2024-2028.
Chanel Fashion President Bruno Pavlovsky emphasized the importance of the Grand Palace to the brand and compared it to other iconic Chanel landmarks such as Place de la Concorde and Place Vend ô me. The Grand Palace is an excellent dream making machine. In our eyes, it is one of the places that embodies the Chanel House, just like Rue de la Concorde or Place Vend ô me, “” We are proud to continue to devote ourselves to this important cultural participant in Paris. The partnership between Chanel and the Grand Palace in Paris can be traced back to 2005, and since then, Chanel has held multiple fashion shows at the Grand Palace in Paris. In 2018, the brand invested 25 million euros to renovate the Grand Palace in Paris and hopes to continue to have exclusive rights to hold fashion shows in the main hall of the Grand Palace. In addition, the entrance to the main hall of the Grand Palace will be named after the brand’s founder Gabrielle Chanel. In April of this year, the Grand Palace in Paris officially named the entrance to the main hall Gabrielle Chanel and held a plaque unveiling ceremony, attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, Chanel Fashion President Bruno Pavlovsky, and others.
