Chanel’s boutique in Dallas has officially reopened, carefully designed by long-term partner and New York architect Peter Marino. This 6500 square foot boutique, located in the historic Highland Park Village, displays fashion, watches, jewelry, perfume, etc. This two-story boutique aims to create a feeling of private residence, paying tribute to Gabrielle Chanel’s rich decorative style and her legendary apartment on Rue de Compont in Paris. The newly renovated store pursues a combination of modern and traditional, French wisdom and Texas vitality in texture and color.
The appearance of the boutique blends seamlessly with the Spanish Mediterranean style of Highland Park Village. In contrast to the traditional terracotta and plaster facades of the building, the interior is a modern fusion of serene neutral tones and vibrant pink, gold, and yellow (inspired by the passionate and unrestrained style of Dallas). Guests can stroll through nine different salons. There are five out of nine salons on the ground floor, and visitors will be welcomed by the matte black granite entrance. Handbags and accessories are displayed on both sides of the entrance, with custom woven carpets in ivory and black stripes. Directly ahead are two other salons that specialize in selling handbags and accessories, as well as carefully selected watches and exquisite jewelry. At the back, there is a glittering gold and polished black room dedicated to perfume and beauty.
The second floor showcases the privacy and personality of Gabrielle Chanel’s private apartment, achieved through the combination of materials and colors. Three salons showcase Chanel’s ready to wear collection, while another showcases the footwear collection. In the ready to wear salon, antique furniture, contemporary furniture, and decorative art pieces complement each other, including the “Etere” chair designed by Italian furniture designer Augusto Pozzi in the 1950s, the lion sculpture created by the late Italian ceramic artist Bruno Gambone, and the custom gold-plated table by French Swedish artist Ingrid Donat.
This reopened boutique will launch Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, which draws inspiration from the concepts of freedom and fluidity, as well as the coastal charm of the Noaille villa garden. This series is easy and tempting, featuring various casual styles, from soft suits and plush sweater jackets to elegant swimsuits, flowing lace dresses, and more. In addition, the area dedicated to showcasing watches and exquisite jewelry in the boutique will showcase the brand’s famous watches, including the J12 series and the famous Coco Crush series, the latter known for its unique curved design and quilted patterns. Perfume and beauty area will focus on Chanel’s exclusive perfume series, cosmetics and skin care products, such as Les Exclusifs de Chanel, Sublimage and 31 Le Rouge series.
